Montessori - A Foundation For Life We are located at Tapion, above and to the left of The Tapion Hospital Road. Just past the St.Lucia School of Music...turning to the left !

General Information:

HOURS: Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 2:30 pm w/option to stay until 5:00pm
Fridays and "Last Days" are 1/2 Days! 7:30 am - 12:30 pm - no late stay

MEALS: A catered school meals programme is now available. No more need for lunch boxes! Fridays are $3 Fund Raising HOTDOG DAYS! (This is a fun day with games and sports followed by hotdogs, cookies, juice and a movie!)

HEALTH CERTIFICATE: This should be up-to-date upon your child's entry into HVMS

INSURANCE: Mandatory Accident Insurance is with ALICO. The Annual Premium is $10 and is payable, along with the Fees, in September or whenever your child enters HVMS as a pupil.

REGISTRATION FEE: EC$100 This Sum is an administrative fee and as such is Non-refundable.

CONVENIENT FEE PAYMENT OPTIONS:
  1. Full payment on the FIRST DAY of Term.
  2. Three Equal Payments: 1st payment will be made on the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL the 2nd and 3rd on designated dates of the following 2 months.
N.B. Once your child is attending HVMS regularly and he or she is on the School Register, you are liable to pay the fees in full regardless of absences.

It provides the overall guidance of thoroughly trained and supervised directresses. Happy Vale Montessori School gives your child a strong basis, in his most formative years, for developing into a well-rounded, responsible, happy and fulfilled adult.

The Montessori Class covers a number of different areas of learning:
The "Practical Life" activities teach your child how to care for himself and his environment. Here he will learn to dress himself by using the Dressing Frames (Buttons, Snaps, Zippers, Buckles, Laces & Bows, Hooks & Eyes), to Pour (Grains/Water), to Wash a Table, Polish a Mirror and to Wash his Hands properly among many other things. The "Sensorial" activities allow her to use her Senses to learn about the World and her Environment. Here, your child will learn to judge different heights, lengths, weights, textures, colours, sounds, smells and shapes. The Language, Math, Geography and Science activities provide your child with aids for his intellectual development. Exercises in Body Movement assist his physical development and his awareness of his body and what it can do. Happy Vale also has activities in areas of Dramatic Art, Dancing, Singing, Music Appreciation, Cooking, Sewing and Arts & Crafts.
